So as I read the plethora of books about what to do/ not do for your baby and am totally overwhelmed with my vast lack of knowledge, I've noticed one thing in common between all this advice. Be healthy and keep stress low. Hmmm. The healthy part is something I can tackle. Granted I may enjoy a few too many jellybeans or scoops of ice cream on occasion, but that keeps me bearable. The whole low-stress thing, that's something I've having an extremely tough time perfecting, or even managing lately. Working 2 jobs has it's stress at times and I'm noticing it more the more I long to be out enjoying a warm spring day. Finishing up the house, a project that seems as if it will never be complete and figuring out who's going to pay for all the upgrades is a bit overwhelming at times, but yesterday came the kicker when I woke up to 6-8 inches of new snow in my yard and fighting my urge to take the day off and go skiing I climbed in our beloved Subaru and made the trek to work. The freeways were snowy and time stood still as I drove around the ramp from I-215 to I-15, hit a snowbank in the middle of the lanes and went swirling across the freeway only to smash the front then turn and hit the back of the car. Well, there goes our "good" car and the sad thing is when paying to fix things costs more than the vehicle's worth. Oh well, I'm ok and that's the important thing, and to de-stress Eddy sent me skiing with my dad and sis, we spent an enjoyable day at Deer Valley. My dad said I should've listened to my first impression to skip work and go skiiing. Hmmm, probably wouldn't get out of bed on time if I follow that advice. Until next time, I'm breathing deep and trying to calm the nerves.

sorry about your stressful day and your crunched car. :(
So glad your ok, though. I always hate it when in a stressful situation the best advice people always have is to not stress? Huh? I can't ever do it, either. But my advice is to do something that makes you really happy today. :)
hey sorry about your car! what time was that? i think i saw you on my way to sandy? there were so many cars twirled around on the freeway yesterday morn. glad you are okay and baby too... and who wants to go to work when there is fresh powder... or in my dreams, the surfs up.
Going skiing is always the right answer! Screw work, it sucks! who needs cars anyway, they only take us to work. Burn em all! Glad you're okay though.
I think the best remedy for these type of stressful situations is warm pie and ice cream! :-)
(Seriously, it sucks you had that happen and I'm glad you're okay.)
Oh Jill I'm sorry about the accident!
And don't worry about the lack of knowledge thing, the truth is all the books on parenting don't hold a light to a mother's own instincts. Take a day off, paint your toe nails, and watch a Meg Ryan movie!
Miracle! I'm so grateful that you are healthy and doing well. Love yah Jill.
Oh man!! That's scary!
I hope you're feeling less-stressed today. Don't worry about the pregnancy stuff though. You're body does all the work and knows what to do. :)
You poor girl! Pregnancy is hard enough, I think you should get all the free days you want! And those days when you really don't want to get out of bed... DON'T! It feels that much better knowing that you didn't get out of bed just because you felt like it!! ha ha ha. Really, I hope things get better, and good luck!
Jillybean, Yikes! This is definately a sign that you and Eddie need to come for a visit in Hawaii.
hey jilly bean... tag.
look at my blog to see what the tags about.
So you are expecting some sympathy?? No way, the only time you are getting sympathy from me is when you are 8 1/2 months pregnito with edema, etc. Just kidding, glad to know you are alive. We have missed the two of you. We'll chat soon - Dan
Disclaimer: I'm no pro. However, whenever someone or something says, "Have less stress and be less stressed..." Jerks... a- automatically you get stressed wondering if you are too stressed and that stresses you out, even if you weren't stressed in the first place, and then you stress because you weren't stressed and wonder if you should have been, it's like, "don't look" and of course you are going to look. b- non stress, babies, and grad anything, oh and remodel, oh ya and money/cost, none of them belong in the same sentence together. c- i don't consider myself a "stressed" type of person, however, babies, medical school, moving, I was pushing the stressed limits, but now that things have calmed down, and stress is less, no more babies, I blew my chance to not be stressed. My point... you guys are awesome!!!!!! And I promise I won't give anymore advice, unless you ask. P.S. You are one hot prego chica.
